When To Use
Use A132™ on projects where a construction manager serves as an advisor (CMa). In addition to the contractor and the architect, a construction manager assists the owner in an advisory capacity during design and construction, without assuming construction risk.
What It Does
A132 establishes the owner-contractor agreement for CMa projects, accommodating both stipulated sum and cost-plus payment structures. It pairs with the A232 General Conditions to provide the project with a clear framework for the owner-contractor relationship within the multi-party structure.
