When To Use
Use B202™ when an architect is engaged to provide programming services before design-bid-build projects begin. B202 is a scope-of-services document only and may not be used as a stand-alone owner/architect agreement.
What It Does
B202 defines the architect's scope of services for programming, covering the pre-design work of gathering stakeholder requirements, establishing functional needs, and developing the project brief. Programming consists of the architect working with the owner and programming participants to identify priorities, values, goals, and objectives. They’ll also gather information to develop performance and design criteria for the project. The architect will provide an initial program document to the owner and then develop a final program of project requirements.
