When To Use
Use B104™ to hire an architect for medium-sized projects with limited scope and complexity. This agreement supports a variety of compensation methods.
What It Does
B104 provides an abbreviated owner-architect agreement, in which the scope of work is streamlined into three phases: design, construction documents, and construction. It provides owners and architects with a simplified agreement that includes essential protections and scope definitions, keeping the contractual structure proportional to the project's scale.
Additional Information
B104-2017 replaces AIA Document B104-2007, Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Architect for a Project of Limited Scope.
