When To Use
Use B102™ when an owner is hiring an architect and the scope of services cannot be predefined. This necessitates a separate scope be attached to account for the project's unique needs. It is well-suited for non-standard engagements where a built-in scope menu would be too rigid.
What It Does
B102 provides a flexible owner-architect agreement that allows for tailoring of the service scope to the project's unique requirements. The agreement includes terms, conditions, and compensation details, but no predefined scope of services. The scope of services is inserted in Article 1 or attached as an exhibit.
