When To Use
Use A132™ SCOSE on South Carolina Office of the State Engineer projects where a construction manager is engaged in an advisory capacity. It is appropriate when the owner wants independent oversight and coordination support without transferring risk to the construction manager.
What It Does
A132 SCOSE establishes the owner-contractor agreement. In this model, a Construction Manager as Advisor (CMa) advises the owner alongside the architect during both design and construction. The agreement accommodates stipulated sum and cost-plus payment structures. It coordinates with A232 SCOSE General Conditions.
