When To Use
Use A232™ SCOSE as the general conditions on South Carolina Office of State Engineer CMa projects. It is incorporated by reference into SCOSE CMa owner-contractor, owner-architect, and owner-CM advisor agreements, giving the full project team a consistent legal framework across all parties.
What It Does
A232 SCOSE sets forth the rights, responsibilities, and relationships of the owner, contractor, construction manager, and architect for South Carolina Office of State Engineer projects delivered under the Construction Manager as Advisor model. The CMa serves as an independent advisor to the owner, who enters separate contracts with prime trade contractors.

This document has been modified by the South Carolina Office of State Engineer and does not imply AIA endorsement of those modifications. Must not be combined with agreements where the CM acts as constructor, such as A133 SCOSE or A134. View the A232 SCOSE comparative guide.
