When To Use
Use A132™ KDE on District Facilities Branch of the Kentucky Department of Education's school construction projects, where a construction manager is engaged as an advisor. It is appropriate when the owner wants independent oversight and coordination support without transferring risk to the construction manager.
What It Does
A132 KDE establishes the owner-contractor agreement for Kentucky school construction projects in which a Construction Manager as Advisor (CMa) is engaged. The CMa advises the owner, alongside the architect, during both design and construction, without assuming construction risk. This agreement accommodates stipulated sum and cost-plus payment structures. A132 KDE coordinates with A232 KDE General Conditions.
Additional Information
Intended only for Kentucky Department of Education projects. Appropriate only where the CM serves as Advisor. View the A132 KDE comparative guide.
