When To Use
Use A232™ KDE as the General Conditions for District Facilities Branch projects of the Kentucky Department of Education with a Construction Manager as Advisor. A232 is incorporated by reference into KDE CMa owner-contractor, owner-architect, and owner-CMa agreements, giving the full project team a consistent legal framework.
What It Does
A232 KDE sets forth the rights, responsibilities, and relationships of the owner, contractor, construction manager as advisor, and architect for Kentucky school construction projects delivered under the Construction Manager as Advisor model. The CMa serves as an independent advisor to the owner, who enters separate contracts with prime trade contractors.
Additional Information
Intended only for Kentucky Department of Education projects. Must not be combined with agreements where the CM acts as the constructor, such as A133 or A134. View the A232 KDE comparative guide.
