When To Use
Use C132™ KDE on District Facilities Branch of the Kentucky Department of Education school projects, when an owner is hiring a construction manager to serve as advisor (CMa). This document is suitable for large projects.
What It Does
C132 KDE establishes the agreement between the owner and the construction manager as advisor (CMa), a single entity independent of the architect and the contractor. The CMa serves as an advisor to the owner throughout the project, beginning in the preconstruction phase. Both C132 KDE and B132 KDE are based on the premise that multiple construction contractors will have contracts with the owner, which will be administered by the CMa and the architect under A232 KDE.
