When To Use
Use G701™ when the owner, contractor, and architect on State of Rhode Island projects have reached an agreement on a change and its implications for a design-bid-build project.
What It Does
G701 is used to implement agreed-upon changes to the work. Execution of a completed G701 indicates agreement upon all terms of the change, including any changes in the contract sum (or guaranteed maximum price) and contract time. The form allows for signatures from the owner, architect, and contractor, helping protect the project from scope disputes as the work evolves.
Additional Information
Intended only for Rhode Island projects. AIA's publication does not constitute endorsement of the RI modifications. View the G701 RI comparative guide.
