When To Use
Use G714™ on State of Rhode Island projects, when the owner and architect need to direct a change to the work before the contractor has agreed to the adjustment in price or time, so construction can continue without delay.
What It Does
G714 RI is a directive for changes in the work on a State of Rhode Island project. Upon receipt, the contractor must promptly proceed with the directed change. The financial and time adjustment is determined later through negotiation or by the method specified in A201 RI. It protects owners by maintaining project momentum while giving contractors a documented record of the disputed change for subsequent negotiation.
Additional Information
Intended only for Rhode Island projects. AIA's publication does not constitute endorsement of the RI modifications. View the G714 RI comparative guide.
