When To Use
Use B101™ RI when hiring an architect, exclusively for State of Rhode Island projects. This agreement is intended for large projects and may be used with a variety of compensation methods, including a percentage of the construction cost or a stipulated sum.
What It Does
B101 RI is a one-part standard form of agreement between owner and architect for building design and construction contract administration. Services are divided into basic and additional services. Basic services are performed in five phases: schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding or negotiation, and construction. The agreement incorporates A201 RI General Conditions by reference.
