When To Use
Use B101™ SCOSE when hiring an architect, exclusively for South Carolina Office of the State Engineer projects. This agreement is intended for large projects and may be used with a variety of compensation methods, including a percentage of the construction cost or a stipulated sum.
What It Does
B101 SCOSE is a one-part standard form of agreement between owner and architect for building design and construction contract administration. Services are divided into basic and additional services. Basic services are performed in five phases: schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding or negotiation, and construction. The agreement incorporates A201 SCOSE General Conditions by reference.
