When To Use
Use A221™ when an owner and contractor have an existing A121 Master Agreement and need to authorize a specific project. It is flexible for any payment model. If using a cost-plus payment method, the parties will also use A121 Exhibit A, Determination of the Cost of the Work.
What It Does
A221 is a Work Order that issues a specific project scope, schedule, and contract sum under an established A121 Master Agreement between an owner and contractor. It gives owners and contractors with an ongoing relationship a streamlined way to engage on new projects without renegotiating master terms, keeping recurring project delivery consistent and efficient.
Additional Information
A221 – 2018 is not a stand-alone agreement.
