Use G742S™ when a subcontractor on a design-build project needs to apply for a progress payment from the design-builder. This document is suitable for any size project or payment method.
What It Does
G742S modifies G742 to allow subcontractors to submit a payment application to the design-builder. The subcontractor documents the status of the contract sum to date, including work completed and stored, retainage, previous payments, change order summary, and the current amount requested. It pairs with a G743S Continuation Sheet to provide complete forms for the subcontractor to apply for payment.

It is commonly referred to as an AIA billing form, progress billing form, or pay app.
