Use E201™ when building information models (BIM) will be shared among all project participants, and specific Model Versions are enumerated as a Contract Document. Attach this exhibit to all the contracts throughout the project. This document is suitable for any size project.
What It Does
E201 governs the sharing of building information models (BIM) among project participants. It establishes digital data rights, reliance limitations, and model management responsibilities, aligning all parties on the extent to which particular Model Versions may be relied upon. This allows Model Authors to structure their modeling services and fees accordingly.
