When To Use
Use E401™ when building information models that will be shared solely within the design team. Attach this exhibit to design and consultant agreements throughout the Project. This document is suitable for any size project.
What It Does
E401 is intended for use when building information models (BIM) will be shared solely within the Design Team: the architect, its consultants, subconsultants, and sub-subconsultants at any tier. E401 anticipates a more “siloed” approach to Modeling, in which the Design Team creates and distributes Models only within the Design Team, and those Models are not intended to be shared with the Owner or any member of the Construction Team.
