When To Use
Use B110™ when an owner is hiring an architect for a custom residential project, such as a new home or major renovation. B110 has the flexibility to accommodate a variety of compensation methods, including a percentage of the construction budget or a stipulated sum.
What It Does
B110 is a one-part standard form of agreement between owner and architect for design and construction contract administration on a custom residential project. This agreement divides services into basic, supplemental, and additional categories with five phases of basic services: schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding and negotiation, and construction. Supplemental services are identified at contract signing, while additional services may emerge as the project proceeds.
Additional Information
B110 is based on B101 but tailored specifically for residential delivery.
