What It Does
G709 allows an owner or architect to formally request a price proposal from the contractor for a potential change to the contract scope. It is not a change order or a direction to proceed with the work. It enables an evaluation of the cost and schedule impact of proposed changes, allowing informed decisions before issuing a change order.
