When To Use
Use B108™ when an owner is hiring an architect for a large project that is federally funded or insured and has requirements that affect the design agreement.
What It Does
B108 establishes the owner-architect relationship for federal projects. B108 includes five phases of basic services: schematic design, design development, construction document, bidding or negotiation, and construction. Optional and additional services may be included. B108 is structured so that either the owner or the architect may provide cost estimates.
Additional Information
B108 was developed with assistance from several federal agencies and contains terms and conditions unique to federally funded or federally insured projects.
