When To Use
Use G746™ when the owner and design-builder want to authorize a limited, predetermined portion of the work to begin on a design-build project before the full contract is finalized. This document is suitable for any size project or payment method.
What It Does
G746 authorizes the Design-Builder to begin Early Release Work on a design-build project. G746 – 2024 allows the parties to describe the terms of how the Early Release Work shall proceed, including payment terms, insurance requirements, and warranty requirements, if they differ from the Agreement. It allows owners and design-builders to accelerate critical path items in writing, protecting both parties by establishing an authorization trail.
