When To Use
Use G612™ Part A at the earliest possible phase of the project when the architect needs to formally capture the owner's instructions regarding the construction contract. Answers to Part B will follow as the contract documents are further developed.
What It Does
G612 Part A is a questionnaire used to capture the owner's instructions to the architect about the construction contract, including delivery method, contract form preferences, and other key requirements. The owner's responses guide the selection of the appropriate AIA document family and inform the development of construction documents. It gives architects a written record of the owner's requirements before construction begins, reducing miscommunication and ensuring administration reflects the owner's actual intent.
